Seems like an Alice in Wonderland theme is inspiring me for my post titles these days...lol. My Family is leaving for the south tomorrow morning, I'm definitely going to enjoy the peace and quiet a little bit. Although Saturday night we are celebrating my friends birthday at my house with some crazy game (Draw me a picture/Karaoke) so the quiet is gonna be short lived.
Tomorrow is shopping day, I still need to buy my friend's present (Oui Claudine je suis à la dernière minute...lol!) and I'm also going to make a stop at Value Village. I've been wanting to go for the last two months. I actually went tonight but I got there at 8:50 pm and the store closes at 9:00 pm. Anyone who's ever been to any kind of thrift store knows that 10 minutes gets you nowhere, well maybe except me...lol. I got an amazing pencil skirt with some Marylin Monroe print on it (It kinda has an 80's feel to it.) and a gorgeous snakeskin (fake) clutch. I almost asked if I could sleep in the backstore as it would save me the 30 minutes drive...lol. I'll try to show you my purchases tomorrow!
I would also like to take the time to thank Jamily at Cup of Coffee for the sweet feature she did on me. You can check out the interview here and check out her blog at the same time. She's a real sweet heart!
xoxo

cute hat. I need to get one like that, but I usually just steal my bf's fedoras.
Value Village is the best. I can't wait to see the purchases. I love the hat and the color of your boots!

Cool hat:) And I like the layering in this outfit, and the colours are just perfect, nice!
few people can pull off the leather looking leggings! they look wonderful on you :) & the hat as well. I'm an avid thrifter myself & I agree 10 minutes is such a tease! can't wait to see your finds photographed!

f a n t a s t i c mixing of c o l o u r s, lady! :)

C h a n e l bag collections!!! it seems endless
and every one is stunning. this one is beautiful.

I just read the interview and it's soo good!
What an interesting read- probably I'm also super intrigued because we live in the same city!
Anyways, so many things in the interview caught my eye but what I remember most is the bit about the movie Marie Antoinette:
I l o v e t h a t f i l m!
It's s u c h a feast for the eyes!!
and I love the scene where she celebrates her birthday and then they go into the fields in their gowns w/ champagne and watch the sunrise!
b e a u t i f u l.
I find what your wrote about that movie and
getting dressed/style reminds me of a piece of the interview Mary-Kate did for Fashion magazine a couple months ago (did you read it?)
anyways- she says that she doesn't like to look like other people and that for her getting dressed is an excuse to play dress-up. I love that analogy- it inspires me a lot even if I don't take M A S S i V E risks in my wardrobe choices, it pushes me a little to try new things.
anywas- what a r a n t lol!
have a great day thrifting! so jealous- i am a little bit exhausted from a late night out and now I have to write/work all day!!!! lol!
xx
