Dress: Winners / Leather Jacket: Sirens / Belt: Vintage / Tight: H&M / Boots: Jessica Simpson / Clutch: Matt & Nat

The title of the post is from a song from one of my favorite band Sam Roberts Band. Go check them out! I'm going out with my friend tonight! After much shopping today I don't know how long I'll be able to stand up! Today was definitely the most freezing day I've encountered while taking my outfit pics for the blog. Let's just say I now feel like staying home snuggled under a blanket. I've made some amazing purchases again today and I can't wait to do a post about them tomorrow! The dress I'm wearing in the pic is one of them and so are those awesome Jessica Simpson boots (who knew such a boring girl could produce such covetable shoes!?!?).

I'm off now, I'm going to diner at my friends house.

Blouse: Vintage / Blazer: Vintage Burberry / Skirt: Unknown, from when I was a teen / Tight: Dollar store / Boots: Le Chateau / Purse: Vintage Chanel Backpack modified to a shoulder strap.

This blazer is one of my most priced possessions, it's vintage Burberry for men. The Boyfriend cut is really on trend with what is going on right now in fashion. I love that it can take away a little bit of the stuffiness from the necktie blouse. I'm also wearing a denim skirt that my sister and I used to wear a lot in highschool. You see, she's been cleaning out her closet and I went rummaging through her left-overs. When I saw the beautiful wash out color of the denim I immediately though It looked fresh again. The bag I got one summer day while stolling along in a flea market. I fell in love with it instantanetly because of it's buttery leather and midnight blue shade. As you can see by the outfit, I really don't believe in fashion rules. Why not mix marine and black! It's actually one of my favorite color combo.

I went shopping again today, but this time with my mom. This is quite a rare thing since usually she's always lecturing me about having way to much such in my closet already. I guess the Winners deals won her over. Lucky for her since she got amazing Earnest Sewn wide legged jeans for 6$ and a pair of Blumarine sunglasses for 12$. So Jealous!!! As for myself, I got some great grey fringe boots and an amazing Max Studio dress. I'll post some pics of our buy at the end of the week end.

To everyone, thanks for the sweet comments again, especially Grace at Skeleton Design who did a small feature on me. It made my day!

Dress: Thrifted Smart Set / Zipper leggings: Sirens / Wrap: Winners / Buffalo Jacket: Vintage / Leather Jacket: Vintage / Necklace: Aldo, BCBG, Vintage / Boots: Thrifted / Sunglasses: Vintage / Bag: Flea Market

Now is one of my favorite time of the year. It feels like chrismast all over again! The canadian discount store Winners is having it's final sale and when I mean sale I mean 1 or 2$ each item. With brands like Calvin Klein, Kensie, French Connection, Nine West you can imagine that each year I end up buying a lot of stuff. Today, I got an amazing pair of Nine West Heels, Two new pairs of leggings and an amazing low cut bra for 13$. Can you say bargain. So every Canadian fashionista out there should make sure to visit their Winners by the end of the weekend.

On the picture you can't really see the gorgeousness of my buffalo jacket. In real life it has an almost Chanel quality with it's bouclé wool. Also I was pretty excited to find out that my thrifted boots don't hurt my feet as I though they were going to be a little bit too small.
I finally managed to pull a look with mixed paterns and ended up loving it.

You can count on a movie post by the end of the day.
Thanks everyone.

Dress: Costa Blanca / Trench: Winners / Tight: Dollar Store / Shoes: Payless / Scarf: Xetera / Belt: Vintage / Necklace: Vintage / Bracelet: Vintage, Urban Outfitters

I can not get enough of this scarf. I know that it's just a bad replica of the McQueen one and that it is pretty outdated but I don't care. It always seems to find it way into an outfit that has bright color. Maybe the skulls, the black and white have a mission to tone them down and give a little edginess to a girlie outfit. I wore this outfit around town today to do some thrifting and found some great stuff for the Ebay store. More on that tomorrow.

I also decided to incorporate my second biggest passion into the blog: cinema. The way fashion and movies cohabit and help each other be never ceased to amazing me. I will bring to you movies with beautiful fashions and aesthetics. I will also share with you some of my favorites.

Hope you had an amazing day.
Keep commenting, it makes my day!

And the award goes to...

<span class=

<span class=

Last night were the Oscars! So many beautiful looks. My personal definition of a good red carpet ensemble is when the artist doesn't forget about her personal style. That is why my favorite Academy Award look of all time is this Vera Wang dress worn by Michelle Williams in 2006 when Brokeback Montain was nominated. The necklace, the lipstick shade and the gorgeous yellow all complement her personal flair for fashion. I think the whole styling is just perfect!!

<span class=

My best dressed for this year are Marion Cotillard in Dior Couture, Nicole Kidman in L'Wren Scott, Melissa George in unknown for now and Amanda Seyfried in Valentino Couture. Everything about their look was perfect.

<span class=

Above are the dresses I liked but I though the styling didn't do them any justice. I also really liked Natalie Portman in Rodarte but she look a little bit too orange on screen. Her look translate a lot better on photographs. Sara Jessica Parker wore a beautiful Dior Couture dress but ruined it by pushing up her boobs to her chin. She transformed the look from something magical to something skanky. Finally, Anne Hathaway looked absolutely gorgeous in Armani Privé. She was radiant and her skin glowed but to me, that is just her natural demeanor. She would glow in a plastic bag. Anne is young and could have gone with something less ordinary, more special and daring.

Let me end this post by saying that Alice and I have decided to part ways. It was short lived but it was fun. We just felt like it would be easier to manage a blog on our own. No fights, no problems...just a lack of management. Hope you will still visit!

Dress: Thrifted, Leggings: Suzy Shier, Boots: Le Chateau, Bracelets: Vintage

It's not the easiest task to take picture in a small snow storm. At least you can understand what I mean when I say I can't wait for winter to be over. The tuxedo dress is a thrifting find from Value Village. I like that this look is really simple...a lot more than what I normally wear. I feel polished without being stuffy. I kind of feel like an old school stewardess in this black and white dress. Now that I'm done with my chores and errants I'll probably put on my pyjamas and wait for the Oscars to start.

Ciao
Thanks for the sweet comments everyone!

Lace dress: Thrifted, Black dress worn as slip: Sirens, Cardigan: Zara, Belt: Thrifted, Tight: dollar store, Shoes: Anne Klein, Necklace: BCBG Max Azria, Clutch: Vintage Fendi, Sunglasses: Vintage Ray-Ban, Coat: Zara.

What a beautiful day! The sun was shining and the ice-skaters were out. I went to a regional park today to take some picture and enjoy the scenery. I got many looks for being way over dressed for the occasion. What can I say, it tends to be the story of my life. Who cares if there's still snow on the ground, I won't ruin a fabulous outfit by wearing winter boots with it. Anyways, I think you can never be too dressed up. Not to forget that I had a pretty good reason to put on a dress. Afterwards I went to diner for my grandmother's Birthday and had a lot of fun with my two beautiful little cousins Victoria and Laury.

I think my outfit today would feel right at home on an episode of Gossip Girl. Especially the Bass funeral one. I kind of feel like a Upper East Side widow. That lace dress made a triumphant return to my wardrobe since it finally feels fresh again. I can't wait to try it with some fuchsia comes spring.

Funny item of the day! Remember how I told you about my nickname yesterday. Well, today my sister and I were invaded by ducks while taking the pictures. See below...lol. I'm telling you, it doesn't even faze me anymore.

Happy Oscar night tomorrow

Snow White

Black Dress (underneath): Thrifted, Floral Tunic: Vintage, Faux Fur Vest: Zara, Tight: H&M, Boots: Le Chateau, Belt: Vintage, Necklace: Aldo

Guess I had a death wish today... especially considering the fact that one of my friend has influenza (get well Clodo). I just couldn't help myself, my furry vest matched the snow so well!! I have to explain why the title of the post is Snow White. You see, because animals seem to like me I have inherited the name Snow F&?$*&! White from my friends. Haha!

Today I've been working on finding a good internship for this summer. Last fall, I did an internship at Nightlife magazine which was amazing and a lot of fun so I'm hoping to find something else just as fun. I also made a mental list of what I want to get for spring, inspirational board and all.

Have a good week end everybody. Mine is gonna be quiet...for once.
