World peace can sometimes seem like such a distant thing but I truly believe in having hope and making an effort to change our future one step at a time. It's unbelievable how current John Lennon and Yoko Ono's message still is in our times. I was honored today to attend to opening of the Imagine exhibit at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal recollecting the bed-in the couple had 40 years ago in my city. I wish everyone could experience the event just as I did because It was seriously one of the best night I've had in a while. I loved the interaction that was allowed with some of the installments. The best part of all was the giant bed!!

They were a lot of beautiful people in attendance and I was really happy to bump into my ex-bosses from Nightlife Magazine where I used to intern. God I miss that place!!

It's all for tonight! I'm beat!
Tomorrow all answer all your nice comments!

Dress: Zara / Tights: H&M 100 den / Belt: Vintage / Scarf: H&M / Oxfords: Made by elves from Urban Outfitters

The day was spent at home working on the vintage store. I'm trying to get it up and running by the beginning of next week (I swear this time is for real...lol). I hadn't worn this Zara dress in quite a while but as I was trying to stay comfy today it was a great outfit choice. The material is so stretchy and comfortable yet it a lot more stylish than sweats. To the sweet people who have asked me If I ever dress frumpy: I don't even own a pair of sweatpants!! But, If I want to be comfy I usually wear my bathrobe which is the most horrendous thing ever...lol. It has this disgusting lilac color that reminds me of an Easter egg. Ugly yet perfect! It's so bad an ex-boyfriend used to beg me to garbage it.

Two very different emotions have filled me for most of the day. First, Jealousy because an old friend has met Robert Pattinson and Nikki Reed in Vancouver yesterday evening (Can you say lucky!?). If you want to read her encounter go here. I've been dying of jealousy all day...lol. The second one is excitement as tomorrow is finally the opening of the Imagine exhibition at Musée des Beaux-Arts de Montréal. I seriously can't wait to see Yoko!

For me, the passage from winter to spring was never announced by the apparition of the groundhog. Since my late teens, I always marked the beginning of the beautiful weather with the openning of my favorite flea market. Yesterday was the first day of 2009 that I've been able to go. The 13 degree celsius weather made it possible for the outdoors marchants to sell all of their random stuff. I finally found two gold necklaces that are close to the neck that i've been looking for forever. The fun thing!? They were only 1$ each!
Afterwards, we went to a little irish pub called O'neils to enjoy the sun even more. We ate their awesome homemade chips. The night ended with a movie that has caused me to be unable to sleep last night ( Hunting in Connecticut). Everyone that loves scary movies should definitly see it.
Hope everyone an awesome weekend such as mine.

Last night was girl's night out...I finally got some OK pictures! We went out to this great lounge near where we live and had a great time. I tried a new drink which I loved called Dirty Abricot which consist of Guiness Beer and Abricot St-Ambroise. We also decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather we had today to spend a little time outdoors. Not for sports but for what else than shopping...lol. I'll share some pictures tomorrow as I decided that I was going to spend the day in pyjamas! I love rainy lazy days where you only watch bad afternoon movies and I haven't done that in quite a while.

Blazer: Vintage / Shirt: Urban Outfitter / Jeans: Men's jeans from AE / Boots: Le Chateau / Bag: Vintage Chanel / Necklace: H&M, Vintage

One of the many things on my summer must have list was a cream blazer, I was looking at the one from H&M trend but decided against it when I realized that just about every blogger also wanted it. Plus it would totally go against the mission I set for myself three days ago (To only buy vintage). Just my luck! Yesterday while I was thrifting, I came across this perfect creation. The fabric is pretty light weight so it will really work for the Humid Montreal spring/summer.

I'm going out again with some friends tonight. I will try to take some pictures. Well, let's be honest, I tried to the last hundred times we went out together but when we reunite after a long week and after a couple of drinks the pictures can be quite disturbing/scary...lol.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

Trench: Vintage Agnès B / Dress: Vintage / Lace turtleneck: Sirens / Tights: H&M / Purse: Le Chateau / Necklace: Le Chateau / Shoes: Anne Klein / Bracelets: Vintage

Today had me feeling a little bit like a cross between Alice in Wonderland mixed with Gossip Girl's Lily van der Woodsen ( maybe because of the pulled back hair!). The lace turtleneck is something I bought a long time ago and had used only one time. I thought it would look perfect with the lace slip dress because it has a drop-waist shape with a very plain top that I hate. I always have to layer it under something or else it looks like a slip. I love the Edwardian feel of the whole ensemble.

As you can probably guess from seeing all of the older posts, my style is pretty eclectic. I really am a person that dresses by the way she feels. Dress up used to be my favorite game when I was young and I always wanted the very best Halloween costume. One year, my mother even cut the bottom of her weddings dress so I could go as a bride. I remember feeling so pretty but, judging from the pictures I still have I was much more scary than beautiful...lol. They really must have had a field day putting on that much make-up on me. See for yourself below and have a good laugh.
