AlmostFamous has always been one of my go-to movie for style inspiration. I was just finishing High School when it came out so that means it has already given me over 10 years of inspiration. Goes to show that you don’t need to change a winning recipe…

Whenever I plan on attending a concert (which isn’t as often as I would like lately!), I always find asking What would Penny Lane wear? when picking out my outfit. Here is what my hands laded upon when it came time to get dressed for the Mumford & Sons concert back in October. On its own, the red velvet coat is a bit over-the-top yet somehow, with the simple addition of a mustard dress, everything gets a little toned-down. Did I actually do a bit of colour blocking!? This post is great proof that you should never say never (no, not talking about the Bieber movie here) when it comes to trend. Just do what feels right to you and you will end up radiating confidence. 

Although this outfit would never be considered timeless to the vast majority, It is my classic look, the way I feel most me. Remember, in times of need, WWPLW?
