Cinematic Musing: The Virgin Suicide

All pictures TFS

The Virgin Suicide is the first ''indie'' movie I ever watched. It was also the starting point of an undying love for the art of cinema. Not only did it open my mind to a whole new side of films (ok, I still enjoyed a good sappy romcom...and always will) but it also influence my style aesthetic in a big way.

The blonde hair, the flimsy floral dresses, the age of innocence and the sweet melancholia portrayed through the Lisbon sisters pretty much sums up everything I love style wise. Ethereal beauty at it's best.

This film was also the one that sparked my love for Sofia Coppola as a director and as a In my book, the woman can do no wrong. I am so excited to see her upcoming project starring Emma Watson, The Bling Ring... Guess I'll have to be patient since they only just started shooting.
