Most shopping trips in the summer always end up with me bitching and whining about my legs and the fact that most dresses and skirt down even fully cover my butt. After a pretty bad shopping experience with my sister that ended with me being so frustrated I almost burst into tears, I finally decided to find the positive in my misery. Stores are full of gorgeous flowy maxi skirts so I dais to myself why not take advantage of it and my them my trademark for the summer. Legs are hidden away, my butt is all covered up and yet I feel incredibly feminine and pretty. As they say, work with what you've got and if you ain't got it, fake it. Maxi skirts and dresses give the illusion of long lean legs while being flowy and airy...to quote some tween queen, it really is the best of both worlds.
Summer 2012 welcomes my new trademark style of long skirts and dresses. Get ready for it, shopping binge to come...

I'm a pear shape so I'm a under the knew in either a pencil or a full-skirt kind of girl--no minis or maxis for me! :)
